Our Journey

Founded on the 20th of February, 2026, BHAMA was born out of a profound compassion for the countless street dogs struggling to survive on the margins of society. What started as a small local initiative has grown into a structured foundation dedicated to systematic change. Our journey began when Rexy Rekha Daniel Amolik witnessed the daily hardships of these resilient animals. Realizing that ad-hoc feeding was not enough, the vision for a dedicated shelter and comprehensive veterinary care system was formed. Today, BHAMA operates as a registered trust, working alongside government bodies and other NGOs to create a lasting impact. We are not just building kennels; we are building a more humane society.

Establishment of BHAMA

February 20, 2026

BHAMA - St. Mother Teresa Home was formally established and registered as a trust (Reg. No. MGO-4-3-2026) in Margao, Goa, with the core mandate to rescue, rehabilitate, and provide care for street dogs.

Trust Deed Formalized

February 2026

The official Trust Deed was drawn up, outlining 16 core purpose clauses covering shelter construction, veterinary camps, sterilization drives, community awareness, and financial management.

Building Our Foundation

2026 onwards

BHAMA begins its outreach — liaising with government bodies, NGOs, and veterinary consultants to plan the first dedicated shelter home and kennel for street dogs in Goa.
